It has a quiet mode, where the chime does not play between 10pm to 6am

Also, you can adjust the sound volume

There is a very small amount of assembly involved. When you open the box you just need to hook the pendulum on, add batteries and set the time. It's very simple.

There are instructions included with QR codes linking you to video instructions.
